Privacy Notice

Sequel is building a private, school-bounded marketplace. This notice explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and how you can reach us about it. It is written in plain language on purpose.

1. What we collect

If you complete the partnership form on this site, we collect what you type into it: your name, your title, your school, an approximate number of families in your community, your email address, your phone number if you provide one, and any notes you add. Providing a phone number is optional; the other fields are required to send the form.

Our hosting provider also records ordinary technical information when a page is requested — IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the date and time. This is standard server logging used to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

We do not ask for, and this site does not collect, payment information, government identifiers, or any information about students.

2. Why we collect it

To respond to your inquiry, to have a conversation with you about a possible school partnership, and to keep a record of that conversation. That is the whole purpose. We do not use this information to build advertising profiles, and we do not use it for anything unrelated to the partnership discussion you started.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We use a small number of service providers to operate the site and our email, and your information passes through them:

We may also disclose information if we are legally required to, or where necessary to protect our rights or someone's safety.

4. Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no advertising pixels, no session tracking, and no third-party trackers of any kind. There is nothing here to consent to or opt out of, which is why you are not being shown a cookie banner.

If that changes — for example if we add analytics — we will update this notice and add a consent mechanism where one is required before turning anything on.

5. Children

This website is directed to school administrators and other adults, not to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 through this site. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

6. How long we keep it

We keep partnership inquiries for as long as the conversation is active and for a reasonable period afterward as a business record. You can ask us to delete yours at any time and we will, unless we are required to keep it.

7. Your choices

Write to us at the address below and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy law — including rights to access, correct, delete, or port your information, and to opt out of certain processing. Ask and we will honor them; we do not require you to prove residency first.

We will never make you sign up for anything to exercise a privacy right, and we will not treat you differently for asking.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls on the accounts that receive form submissions. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise.

9. Changes to this notice

If we change this notice we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
